biography

Andrew Ooi is a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Melbourne. He graduated with a BE (1993) and PhD. (1997) from the same university. Prior to his current appointment, Andrew has worked at the Center for Turbulence Research (CTR) at NASA Ames and the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO).

research interests

Andrew's research interest is in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics, heat transfer, hydro-acoustics and bubble acoustics. He has over 20 refereed journal publications on these topics in high quality journals. He currently serves as a Chief Investigator in 2 ARC discovery grants and 1 linkage grant.
