For this competition, competitors are required to find a manufacturing process or industrial application that could benefit from the application of a robot. As well as providing students an opportunity to interact with industrial employers such as ABB, this competition requires innovation and design skills to accurately assess and solve the problem at hand.

Our project involves working with Ford in order to automate a process that takes place on their production line. This involves many challenges such as planning plant downtime planning and producing an accurate cost estimate. Working closely with Ford we will be able to better plan a solution which suits them and one which they will likely implement.
