Since retiring in 1989, Professor Joubert has continued research activities in fluid mechanics and ship research. Currently in receipt of three ARC large grants:

• One on Rotating Flows.
• The second on Extra Strain Rates in Turbulent Boundary Layers.
• The third (with colleague Dr. Ken Brown) on Slamming Effect on Ship Hulls.
